Stone Hearth Repair

Damage

We were called out to look at a scratched stone fireplace hearth. It seemed that the damage was caused by the previous homeowner twisting plant pots towards the sun.

This had caused circles to be scratched into the glossy stone surface. These circles really stood out to the new owner, as the room was quite light they could see them all over the hearth.

Solution

We took the surface down slowly with various sand papers, before finishing with very fine wet and dry paper.

Once the damage had been removed we spent time with different polishes bringing the shine and colour back to the stone surface.

The result is it now looks new with no nasty circles!
